On behalf of the Organising Committee I invite your support for the 2017 NSW Palliative Care Volunteer Conference with the theme of Expressions of Care.

Palliative care volunteers provide psychosocial and practical support to people in palliative and end of life care, their carers and family.

The biennial NSW Palliative Care Volunteer Conference aims to network, equip and educate volunteers to enhance their valuable contribution to end of life care.

In particular the theme of ‘Expressions of Care’ acknowledges the unique calling of palliative care volunteers to express their care artistically and compassionately.

The Organising Committee hopes that the delegates will take away new ideas for expressing their own humanity through art, new ways to engage with people at all life ages and stages through artistic media, and a renewed commitment to care for people at end of life.

Within the health care system palliative care continues to grow and develop rapidly. But palliative and end of life care is more than just a 'health' issue, it is an every day reality touching on life, loss, aging and death for about 50,000 people in NSW every year. More than ever palliative care volunteers represent a compassionate response by ordinary people to this extraordinary challenge.

This unique sponsorship opportunity will enable your organisation to demonstrate support for their work in the heart of our community.
