NSW Network of Managers of Palliative Care Volunteer Services

The role of the Network is to ensure best practice for NSW Managers of Palliative Care volunteer services and to provide support for members of the Network. Membership is open to Managers of palliative care volunteer services from NSW and ACT. Interested parties may apply to join.

Meetings take place quarterly (for meeting dates see Events page) by teleconference and at venues within NSW according to the Terms of Reference for the Network (pdf, 19kB).

Palliative Care Volunteer Conference hosted by the Network

Every two years the Network hosts a Palliative Care Volunteer Conference (2015 Nan Tien Temple). The Network will host the 2017 Palliative Care Volunteer Conference at Maitland on the 19th of May in the Hunter Valley.

The Co-Convenors for 2016-17 are Sarah Potter (Coordinator, Dept of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care, Children’s Hospital Westmead) and Alex Huntir (ex-offico, Palliative Care NSW Volunteer Support Services Programme). For more information about the Network please contact Sarah or Alex.

Conference organisation

Conference management is provided by the Volunteer Support Services Programme at Palliative Care NSW.

Auspicing for the conference is provided by Volunteers for Palliative Care, in Maitland.
